Hukkster: Save Money & Time

September 6, 2012 · 9 comments

I need to tell you guys about my new find. That BFF of mine, Maggie, works with someone who did PR for a new company, and I think the new concept is a super cool one.

I don’t know about you, but I hate when I find something perfect for my house/closet, grab it at an atrocious price, and see it on sale a week later.

Well, now there’s Hukkster.

This new website allows you to “hukk” products so you’re notified when the price drops.

You can easily hukk products from your browser toolbar just like you “pin” them on Pinterest. Only when you hukk something, you are setting an e-mail notification for when it goes on sale.

You can set your notification to come at any sale, 25% off, or 50% off, and when that happens, you get an e-mail.

Erica and Katie, the girls behind Hukkster, met while working as merchandisers for J. Crew. After six years, they both moved on to management consulting.

“Mulling over the loss of our J.Crew corporate discount and our lack of free time as we worked long hours in management consulting, we were frustrated by all of the special offers and deals that piled up in our inbox. We did not have time to sort through all these offers for the diamond in the rough, yet we were intent on accessing our favorite styles at the prices we could afford. We knew there had to be a better way to pull the relevant sales that we were interested in … that’s when Hukkster was born.”

The founders of Hukkster completely identify with their members.

Like them, we love to shop, but we don’t have the time or patience to sort through the offers that are being pushed into our inbox. While we’re willing to splurge sometimes, there’s a whole category of “nice to haves” that can tempt us at the right price. Hukkster keeps track of all your favorite styles online and delivers sale notifications on only the styles you’re interested in. We believe that Hukkster will transform the way that we shop online, saving us time and money so that we can spent it on more important things.

So, there ya go. A new nifty way to save money while online shopping.

Go request an invite so you can hukk. Save money and time. High five.

What a great site! It will be perfect for bookmarking all those kitchen gadgets (among many other things) I want, but don’t want to pay full price for. Thanks for sharing!

Most of the time, when bloggers “promote” a site/product/service, I roll my eyes and close the screen. But this is absolutely incredible! I am a bargain shopper and couponer and I hate wasting my money. I immediately requested an invite. Thanks for posting this!
