It was a good Tuesday.
An entire section of clearance wine at Food Lion? The typical wine connoisseur would probably say, “What’s wrong with it?”
I say “suh-weeeet” and grab 5.
And “Who wants to come over for wine night?”
Upon meeting homegirl Jamie at the gym for our usual workout date, she told me she had a present for me.
When she told me it wasn’t glitter stunna shades or a brand new pair of Asics, I picked myself up off the floor to realize she had a pretty awesome gift from Trader Joe’s with my name on it.
Has anybody tried this granulated gold on anything I’ve gotta try?
[BTW, a word to the wise - screw the lid on tight before using this stuff.. Jamie had a small travesty in her kitchen when she tried to put this on cereal.]
And know what else was pretty great? With Meg’s coaching via my 193981 texts messages of questions, I (quite literally) took a stab at roasting a spaghetti squash.
Don’t forget to stab it a few times with a fork (or a sharp knife). Apparently, bad things happen if you forget this step.
I threw the squash in a baking dish and roasted it on 375 degrees for an hour. Then, I cut it in half as I prepped a sauce of Prego Veggie Heart Smart, asparagus, garlic, baby bell mushrooms, and Mrs. Dash onion & herb blend.
Trust me on this. It’s all kindsa wonderful.
